Declan Rice has made huge strides in his career in recent months but he has not forgotten his Irish roots, which stem from Douglas in County Cork.
Just this year alone, Rice, 18, picked up the FAI Under 17 International Player of the Year award in March, helped the Ireland U19s reach the Elite Round of qualifying, made his Premier League debut with West Ham, and got the call-up from Martin O'Neill.
Rice featured in the opening two days of the training camp in Fota Island Resort and he has enjoyed the experience thus far, with one more day left to go.
The Cork connection was strong on Day 2 of training camp with Cork City FC goalkeepers Mark McNulty and Alan Smith taking part in the session along with local lads John Egan, Kevin Long, Conor Hourihane and Alan Browne.
Both McNulty and Smith have since returned to their club to prepare for Friday night's SSE Airtricity League Premier Division clash with Shamrock Rovers at Turner's Cross.
