
North End United left it late in Tipperary after going behind early in the first half to a dominant St. Michael's side marshalled at the back by Amateur International Paul Green. The second half saw Northend throw everything at Michael's and it looked like they were going to leave with nothing after Adrian Walsh pulled off two first class saves.
With four minutes to go Northend got a deserved equaliser through Beary and in the 92nd minute Murphy finished off a superb move to book North End a place in the final.
Pike Rovers made it to their second final in the Aviva with a hard fought win over Newmarket Celtic at a packed Pike Complex. Rovers were two up and looked to be to be coasting when Newmarket pulled themselves back in to the game with two headers from Stephen Kelly. With the game going to extra-time, Newmarket looked like it was going to be their day when Ryan from an excellent cross from Hanrahan scored from close in to set up May's decider
