The tournament is helping the DDSL to celebrate its 75th anniversary and will see some of the biggest clubs in Europe represented as Manchester United, Liverpool, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Chelsea will all be involved.
Over the course of three days, the best players at Under-13 level will be in action and have the opportunity to compete for the Friendship Cup in what is a very special year for the DDSL.
DDSL Chairman Paddy Dempsey said: “We are extremely happy with how preparations are coming along, there is a lot of work going on in the background to make sure this weekend goes off without a glitch and that people remember it as one of the best run schoolboy competitions in the world.
"I want to take this chance to thank all of our sponsors who have come on-board to assist with preparations especially our title sponsor, Lifestyle Sports and Aer Lingus, our Aviation Partners. We would also like to recognise our existing DDSL sponsors The Herald, TopFlight and O’Neill’s Sports for their continued support.
"The tournament has attracted some of the top clubs in Europe and we look forward to a weekend of top class football.
