Celebrating their 75th anniversary, the Dublin District Schoolboys' League wanted to put on a show and that is exactly what they did with some of the best clubs in Europe represented over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Ultimately, Bayern Munich (pictured above with the legendary Fran Ray) were the victors, but each of the teams involved - including the DDSL selection - can be proud of their performances in what was a thrilling tournament.
"It was a great weekend. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped out in any small way. The core of the volunteers who were here over the weekend put in sterling work," said DDSL chairman Pat Dempsey.
"The FAI National Training Centre is outstanding. The facilities are as good as anywhere in Europe, according to the coaches from the clubs who were here."
