North End United became the first team from Wexford to win the FAI New Balance Junior Cup after a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win over Limerick's Pike Rovers.
Captain Paul Murphy opened the scoring for the eventual winners in the first-half from the penalty spot after he was fouled in the box. Pike Rovers sent the game to extra-time with a second-half strike from Steven McGann.
A further 20-minutes of extra-time was unable to separate the sides resulting in a penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Lee Walker and defender Gary Delaney proved the heroes for the winners in the shootout.
Walker saved Pike Rovers' third penalty from Colin Daly, before Delaney's spot-kick won the title for the Wexford side.
A 92nd-minute minute equaliser in the FAI New Balance Intermediate Cup Final from Maynooth University Town's Darragh Reynor proved the turning point in a dramatic second match.
Carl Forsyth gave Firhouse Clover a second-half lead, and looked on course to give the Dublin side their first Intermediate Cup Final win, before man of the match Reynor's goal sent the game to extra-time.
Maynooth University Town used their man advantage in that period after Firhouse Clover's Michael McLoughlin was sent off late in normal time.
Substitutes Tommy Illunga and Youseff Belhout scored in the first half of extra-time, before Illunga scored again in the second half to cap off a dramatic win.
In a historic day, both North End United and Maynooth University Town added their names to the FAI New Balance Junior and Intermediate Cups for the first time.
