Mulroy Academy step up to the Mark

Being awarded the FAI Club Mark is a great recognition to the hard work and standards set by all the coaches, volunteers and committee members of the club. Fergus McAteer, Aisling McAteer and Marco Orsi led the club's application process.

The Award was presented by local Development Officer Shane Barr. Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan was also on hand on the evening to present the players with their annual haul of medals and trophies.

The night was made even more special as the club presented Colm McGonigle with an Appreciation Award. Colm is a founding member of Mulroy Academy and has dedicated the last 15 years to developing the club.  

The FAI Club Mark is an award based on how well clubs are managed off the field. The journey challenges the club to implement policies and procedures in line with best practice.

The aim of the FAI Club Mark is to:

  • Improve the management of clubs‘off the field’
  • Establish and promote best practice
  • Empower and support clubs
  • Recognise and reward clubs for achieving high standards
  • Raise standards across all clubs
