
Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe, and the five co-ordinators visited various Spanish facilities to learn the Spanish best practice.
Harry McCue, Leo Tierney, Paul Friel, Trevor Lovell and Rory O'Hare began their trip with a visit to the Spanish FA Headquarters. While there, the group the Deputy Director of the Spanish National Coaching School Israel Lopez i Ferrer, and a number of Spansh FA coaches including their Under-21 coach Luis de la Fuente.
The group also visited Atletico Madrid's Training Centre, where they watched the club's youth teams in action, and were shown the training and educational methods used by the club.
The final day of activities saw the group travel to Segunda side ADA Alcorcón to meet with the underage coaches. They were also introduced to the methodology of the club's Academy. The trip endeded with a trip to the La Liga match between Atletico Madrid and Atletic Bilbao.
