There were 22 different counties represented from over 200 attendees, who included many current and former SSE Airtricity League managers, and several UEFA Pro Licence holders.
The Conference mixed between theory and practical sessions, a Q&A with international head coaches, and there was also a graduation ceremony for 28 coaches who achieved the UEFA Elite Youth A Licence.
FAI Coach Education Manager Niall O'Regan believes the Conference has now become an annual fixture for elite level coaches and continues to grow in popularity.
"The event was sold out since October 2018 and that was one of the real signs of the success of the 2017 event, where we had 140 coaches in attendance. Over the weekend, we had just over 200 and it was a really successful event again," said O'Regan.
"The profile of the guest speakers, the balance between practical and theory and the significant learning from all of the speakers was outstanding. We had coaches from Grassroots up to UEFA Pro Licence level, and the feedback from all has been great.
"The Conference is now becoming a signature date in coaches' calendars - both for the event itself but for the social opportunity for the coaches all over the country to meet and share ideas. The Coach Education staff who put everything together deserve tremendous credit, as well as our hosts at IT Carlow, and we are already working towards the 2019 event."
