Carlow's Parkville United earn FAI Club Mark

Seán Maher, whose roles include PR Officer and Academy Coach in Parkville United AFC was the driving force within the club and was on hand from the minute the application was sent in all the way to receiving the Award on behalf of the Club on the night of the Clubs 40th anniversary dinner dance.

Local Development Officer Garry Coady worked hard to assist the club achieve the award in time for the big night. Being awarded the FAI Club Mark is a great recognition to the hard work and standards set by all the coaches, volunteers and committee members.

The FAI Club Mark is an Award for grassroots clubs based on how well the club is managed off the pitch. The journey challenges clubs to implement policies and procedures in line with best practice.

Parkville United AFC have became the first club in Carlow to achieve the FAI Club Mark. The award was presented by FAI President Donal Conway at the club’s Dinner dance recently to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
