As they prepare for a busy Christmas period, where they will help over 50,000 families nationwide, St Vincent De Paul welcomed some special gifts donated by the Football Association of Ireland.
The charitable organisation, run by volunteers, is the largest of its kind in the country and recently launched its Annual Appeal for donations to help families and individuals in need.

FAI CEO John Delaney and Women's National Team Head Coach Colin Bell visited the Society's depot on Sean McDermott Street in Dublin to hand over a number of special Republic of Ireland New Balance gift bags, which were full with jerseys, footballs, books, and other merchandise, to Liam Casey, East Region President for St Vincent De Paul.
Delaney and Bell spent time at the headquarters to learn all about the work done by the Society as well as meeting the volunteers who do such important work for families across the country.
This year, the Society's 11,000 volunteers will be paying particular emphasis on the most vulnerable people in our society - children.
In addition to direct donations, there are other options to support at www.svp.ie/appeal, including the Giving Tree Appeal, the Food Appeal and a Virtual Gift store.
