This will be the third time in the last four years that the game will be held in Turner's Cross, while it will be the fourth consecutive meeting of Cork City and Dundalk - with The Leesiders winning the last three times.
With the fixture list for the 2019 SSE Airtricity League now published, the game - which was introduced in 2014 in honour of President Michael D. Higgins - will kickstart the new campaign for the top tier of domestic football.
