The programme involved 31,728 students last year with over 1,528 schools participating. The competition has been running since the mid 1990s and the programme promises to be bigger and better this year.
Local competitions will begin at the end of February or early March with Regional qualifiers taking place in April. The Provincial Finals will take place in early and mid-May while the National Finals will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
There are six sections to cater for all school sizes (small, medium and large schools). There are separate competitions for boys and girls but girls are permitted to play in the boys’ competitions.
