The League which was supported by FAI County Development Officer Denis Hynes and also assisted by volunteers from the local club Coole FC, saw four Teams, close to 30 players compete for the overall title.
Eventually, after three weeks of very skilful and exciting Futsal, the Finals night saw EuroBarcelona Gort face Gort United FC.
The Final lived up to its status as Gort United FC took an early 2 -0 lead against the favourites, however as is the nature of the fact paced, goals laden game of Futsal, Eurobarcelona eventually equalised early in the second half and then proceeded to display their full array of Futsal Skills and Samba Style as they ran out convincing 6 -3 winners to claim the title.
The Adult Futsal League was also funded and supported by the FAI Intercultural Programme and through AMIF Funding, and proved very popular for the North Clare, South Galway Region.
The League was run in a similar format to other Adult Futsal Leagues held in Galway, Offaly, and Limerick City all co-ordinated and delivered by the network of FAI Development Officers.
