1993 UEFA European Under-16 Championships
Based in Turkey, this tournament saw 68 goals scored over 32 games with Iceland recording a 6-2 triumph over Northern Ireland on the opening day.
For Ireland, it wasn't a great experience as they lost their three Group C games and finished bottom with five goals conceded and only two scored.
They lost to Czechslovakia in their first game before narrowly falling against England, while Belgium proved too strong in the final outing.
Poland went on to win the tournament - their first title at this level - as they overcame an Italian side containing Gianluigi Buffon and Francesco Totti.
