The successful applicant will be tasked with leading the team to qualification for the UEFA 2021 European Championships finals in England and improving Ireland’s position in the UEFA and FIFA rankings. Also, they will be an established manager with a successful track record in football.
FAI General Manager Noel Mooney said: “We are determined to give our team the very best chance of qualifying for the UEFA European Championships in 2021, which take place on our doorstep in England.
"This is a key leadership position within the FAI and Irish football. It is crucial for us is to recruit the right person to lead our Women’s Senior International Team to unprecedented success, while playing a significant role in the ongoing development of our elite International players and the education of elite coaches.
"We've made significant progress with the WNT and we're eager to continue that as we look to qualify for a major international tournament for the first time, starting with the qualifier against Montenegro at Tallaght Stadium in September."
