A single goal from Willie Armshaw proved to be the difference in a tense encounter as the County Tipperary side overcame their Dublin opponents.

This game was originally meant to take place in the Aviva Stadium 16 weeks previously but had to be rescheduled and St Michael's showed more of an edge in their overall play.

Sheriff, who last won this competiton in 2017, were reduced to 10 men during the game and that hurt them as they attempted to find a way back into the contest.

In contrast, St Michael's held their nerve and battled on to lift the Cup for the first time since 2014.
