The FAI is now seeking expressions of interest from candidates interested in joining the five Football Committees established under the new Board and Committee structure adopted at the Association’s AGM in July.
As per the new structure, the Board of the FAI can co-opt members to the five Football Committees covering Football Management, Underage and Player Development, International and High Performance, Domestic Competitions and and Club and League Development.
The skillset required for each Committee,. as set out in their Terms of Reference, are as follows:
Football Management Committee (Up to three members can be co-opted)
• The skills and expertise required on this committee include football administration, business and commercial management, marketing, governance and legal as well as insights on player issues and the views and perspectives of supporters and other groupings.
Underage and Player Development Committee (Up to three members can be co-opted)
• The skills and expertise required on this committee include child welfare and safeguarding, insights on player issues and welfare, underage football administration, underage coaching, education and the views and perspectives of both underage and adult players.
International and High Performance Committee (Up to three members can be co-opted)
• The skills and expertise required on this committee will include football administration and management, business and commercial, legal and regulatory, elite coaching and performance as well as elite player insights at national and international levels.
Domestic Competitions Committee (One member can be co-opted)
• The skills and expertise required on this committee include football administration, competition management, knowledge of FAI rules, knowledge of FAI disciplinary rules, knowledge of FIFA and UEFA statutes, commercial and marketing experience.
Club and League Development Committee (Up to two members can be co-opted)
• The skills and expertise required on this committee include club management, league management, facility development, governance, commercial, finance and legal.
