The progressive club recently hosted an open night for their new Football For All section at the club. Over 20 kids attended the first ever FFA training session with huge interest from the local community and the surrounding areas.

The night was a huge success and the club look forward embracing the team into the fabric of the club.  The Football for All section will operate every Friday evening at the fantastic facility in Kentstown Community Park.

“We are delighted to be part of the FAI FFA initiative. It is important that sport includes all and as a club this is at the heart of our ethos. It is important to Balrath Girls and Boys Football Club that we have diversity and inclusion at its core, and we really appreciate the ongoing support of the FAI on this”, club secretary Anne Hopkins told FAI.ie

Balrath G&B FC are part of the North East Schoolboy/Girls League and currently have 15 teams within the club.

FAI Meath Development Officer Richie Smith along with Football For All Development Officer Paul Smyth were in attendance on the night and will support the club on their FFA journey.

“It was fantastic to see the players having such a good time. Huge credit must go to Balrath G&B FC in embracing this initiative and we hope it can inspire other clubs to consider including Football For All within their club”, Paul Smyth added.
