Quotes
Republic of Ireland WU17s Manager James Scott
“We would’ve liked to have gotten the three points against Slovakia, especially with the draw in the other game. We knew it was going to be a tough game and it turned out like that. There’s probably a few mixed feelings but at the end of the day we got the late draw and we can’t really have any complaints with that.
“Preparations for Finland are going very good, everyone is fully fit and everyone is available now so we’re really looking forward to it.
“All the teams are on one point so it’s like Day One again. We’re excited for the game and hopefully we’ll get a result that’s very positive and we can kick on from there.
“There was an unbelievable backing for the squad at Tallaght last time out and it was just fantastic. Women’s football is really taking off and the girls really appreciated it as well, especially in the last 10 minutes when you’re behind. It was great to see a number of their club-mates there as well and I saw captain Tara O’Hanlon’s Under-10’s team supporting as well which was fantastic. We hope we’ll have that again on Saturday."
