
The Best Publication Award went to ‘Stories of the Showgrounds’ by Kevin Colreavy and published by Sligo Rovers Heritage Group. The Best PRO Award went to David Cummins of Manorhamilton Rangers. The Best Website Category went to Padraig McHale for the Mayo League App, while the Best Social Media category was won by Cabinteely FC.
The Best Article was from Eamon Scott of the Herald for his piece in the FAI Junior and Intermediate Cup Final programme while Best Broadcast went to Eric White of BBC Radio Foyle for his commentary in the build-up to Derry City’s UEFA Europa League encounter with Aberystwyth Town last year. The Best Photo Award was won by Gary Foy for an acrobatic shot of Finn Harps striker Wilfried Tagbo.
Speaking at the announcement, FAI Communications Director, Peter Sherrard said, “The FAI Grassroots and League Communications Awards continue to attract a large number of quality entrants from all over the country and are a testament to the work being put in to promote football across Ireland. The winners are all very deserving and I would like to congratulate all those who entered for the exceptional quality of and range of work being done."
