Colin O'Brien's side produced an impressive display to beat their hosts 3-1 in their opening game of the season on Tuesday with Adam Idah scoring twice and Lee O'Connor also finding the net.
"Today was a recovery day for us really with the focus turning to tomorrow's game," said O'Brien.
"We also worked with the balance of the players that didn't feature yesterday, while some of those who did feature in that game had some soreness and did the appropriate recovery work. Everybody will be needed tomorrow as we expect another tough test in very hot conditions.
"For the staff and the players we felt the first game was a very good test. We started well, created chances and scored two good goals. Their goal just before half-time gave them confidence to start the second half at higher tempo so we had to defend well and I was pleased that we did so.
"There are of course some areas that we know that we can improve but overall we had five or six chances and took three.
"We have four lads in the squad who are also eligible at this age group next year so that's pleasing. If they have qualities necessary to go a year up its worth doing and the older lads have helped them. They've been in our system for a while so we know them well and feel they are ready for this level.
"Thursday's game is one where we'll want to see the other players and see how they perform against a Slovenia team that we know will test them."
