The Football Association of Ireland Coach Education Department have continued to deliver top quality courses with over 4,000 participants completing courses and moving up the coaching ladder.
The demand for UEFA 'A' and 'B' courses remains high with 328 UEFA A Licenced coaches and 1,046 UEFA B Licenced coaches having come through the FAI system.
Now coaches aspiring to reach the next level can apply for these courses, should they meet the requirements, with further details below.
UEFA A Licence Intensive Course
Designed to assist coaches in the preparation, development and consolidation of the player's / teams technical, tactical, mental and physical development, as well as maximising their performance. Coaches will design and develop 'reality based' training sessions after specific analysis of a team unit. Applicants must have a UEFA B Licence & CPD, as well as current coaching experience, in order to be eligible for the course that will have 180 contact hours, which includes practical & theory, learning workshops, periodisation workshops, course takes, individual and micro-group learning, and final assessments.
Each participant, upon completion of the course, will be able to plan, organise and implement 'reality based' coaching sessions, develop tactical and positional skills, develop match analysis skills, optimise football preparation for performance, and organise sessions in a safe, friendly and rewarding environment.

From €3,250 for course curriculum, payable in full with application. Cheques / credit cards will not be cashed/ charged until such times that the applicant has been accepted on the course.

UEFA B Licence Intensive Course

Applicants must have a FAI Youth Cert / FAI C Licence (or equivalent National Association Award) in order to be eligible for the course that will have 140 contact hours, which includes practical & theory, learning workshops, periodisation workshops, course takes, theory examinaton, and final assessments.
Each participant, upon completion of the course, will be able to plan, organise and implement 'reality based' coaching sessions, develop tactical and positional skills, develop match analysis skills, optimise football preparation for performance, and organise sessions in a safe, friendly and rewarding environment.
