Gerry Davis's side sit top of the group after a 1-0 win over the host side Lombardia Regional FA thanks to an Eoin Hayes penalty on Wednesday while the Macedonians were held to a 0-0 draw by Slovenia representatives Maribor.
The Irish are in pole position after game one but Davis insists they will not be getting carried away and will maintain their focus.
“We’re in the driving seat but all four teams still have the chance to pick up six points. We may not be in the driving seat tomorrow if results don't work out for us so we have to make sure we prepare the team properly and give ourselves the best chance of winning the game," said Davis.
"David Hoban has had stitches in his lip but outside of a few aching limbs and tiredness everybody is o. We’ve rested today and have analysed our own game and the Macedonians’ game.
"Looking at it, they probably should have won it, they created the possession and the best opportunities. It was a hot day so conditions tough for all the squads but overall they look technical, move the ball well, looked dangerous from set-pieces. So it'll be a challenge.
“There are definitely areas we can improve upon, decision making in certain areas could be improved, we made some loose passes that can be a bit better."
