FAI Chief Executive John Delaney feels that the ISA are worthy recipients of the award.
“In my role on the UEFA Executive Committee, it’s brilliant to see the work being done by the UEFA Foundation. I’m delighted that the Irish Society of Autism has won this award.
“We have already worked with the ISA on creating Matchday Checklists for our international programmes in both Aviva Stadium and Tallaght Stadium, as well as inviting families who have children with autism to a number of Republic of Ireland games.
“The €50,000 we have secured from UEFA will help develop further workshops to include practical training and also to look at developing the matchday experience for supporters with autism."
