The club were founded in 1924, and is located at Celtic Park, Pavilion Road, Castlebar, Co Mayo.
Castlebar Celtic's facilities are used by over 3,500 members of the Castlebar Community and include a full size grass pitch, a full size Astro floodlit pitch, Dressing rooms with showers, Medical Room, Clubhouse with a Fully Licenced Bar .
Celtic cater for both Adult and Youth teams. They are 2019 Mayo Superleague Champions and compete in Connaught Cup & national FAI Junior Cup competitions. Castlebar Celtic has previously won nine Junior Connaught Cups and both FAI U18 Cup & WFAI U18 Cup competitions. They also have a thriving youths set up and compete in local leagues and cups as well as Connaught & National SFAI competitions. Their young hoops in both the girls and boys academies take part in numerous local blitzes giving them the chance to get their first taste of silverware donning the green and white hoops. Castlebar Celtic has had a number of players capped for Irish teams at underage and senior level since the formation of the club.
