Dublin Simon Community have been dealing with issues around preventing and solving homelessness for many years and the FAI would like to express their support for their worthwhile efforts.

In order to help such a hard-working charity, FAI CEO John Delaney and Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill presented the tickets to Sam McGuinness, CEO of Dublin Simon Community, which will be put up for raffle on social media.

"The work that Dublin Simon Community does is absolutely terrific and is particularly meaningful at this time of the year, so I'm more than happy to help out with a small gesture like this," said O'Neill.

"The two games in March, against Switzerland and Slovakia, will be very important in our preparation for EURO 2016, but we would encourage Irish supporters to help out Dublin's Simon Community with a donation this Christmas."

FAI CEO John Delaney echoed those remarks by saying: "The FAI has a long tradition of acknowledging the excellent work done by charities, businesses, and individuals around the country, so we were delighted to help out Dublin Simon Community and shine a light on the life-changing work that they do on a daily basis."

Dublin Simon Community plan to use the DUO ticket packages to raise extra funds going into the Christmas period when the focus on homelessness increases and help is needed most.

Sam McGuinness said: "On behalf of Dublin Simon Community and the people who rely on our services each day, we would like to thank the FAI for their kind donation. In the run up to Christmas, we will put the tickets up for raffle on Dublin Simon Community's social media pages to generate essential funds for homeless services with the hashtag #perfectgift

"As we continue to see increasing numbers of vulnerable people, families and children coming to our door for help, this support will make a vital difference and enable them to move to a safe and secure place they can call home."

DUO ticket packages are still available for the Switzerland and Slovakia games at Aviva Stadium on March 25 and March 29 respectively through Ticketmaster.

Dublin Simon Community work to prevent and address homelessness in Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, and Meath. Donations can be made through their website - www.dubsimon.ie
