The sides will meet on Tuesday, March 1 (7.45pm), and Thursday, March 3 (12.00pm), with both games taking place at the RSC.
Ireland are preparing for the UEFA U17 Championships Elite Qualifying Round when they travel to Warsaw to face the Poles, Serbia and Montenegro with the ambitions of securing a place in the finals in Azerbaijan. The group winners and seven runners-up with the best record against the teams first and third in their section advance to the finals to join the hosts.
"These fixtures are very important for our preparation for the Elite Phase. We were pleased to progress from a tough Qualifying Round in Finland in September," said Mohan.
"We've had a number of events from Christmas with trial games and assessments. We'd 45 home-based players in and then narrowed that down further. We've also played the schools international side and the home-based U18s. Players have had the opportunity to make an impression. Some of those took that opportunity.
"We've watched a lot of them in action in the SSE Airtricity U17 and U19 League since the Qualifying Round so we are monitoring their progress. What I am also pleased with is that there is good versatility amongst the players we’ve selected in this squad.
"We also played QPR with 19 UK-based players and that was a further opportunity for players to stake a claim. Some players have stepped up and shown that they deserve to be included. We'll add two more players before the games then the squad will be together from February 27.
"Switzerland will always be fast and athletic with good attacking players and well organised at the back. They're always reaching the elite phase and will be very good preparation for the challenges ahead."
