Recent meetings between the two countries have always been tight encounters but you have to go back to 1992 for Ireland’s last win against the Swiss.

Prior to kick-off, a 1916 Commemoration Ceremony will take place on the pitch at 19:30. Following that, National Colour Party from the 7th Infantry Battalion, based at Cathal Brugha Barracks will lead the teams out of the tunnel.

A further 250 relatives will be guests at Tuesday's game against Slovakia. Students from Trinity Comprehensive School, Ballymun, will recite an excerpt from the Proclamation before the All-Island Peace Choir sing the National Anthems.
